Color Palette Development

After a few years of experimenting with quilting styles and techniques, I was able to develop a specific style.  So much work had to come out of me before I could realize a distinct vision for what I want my work to be about.  Until now it's been hard to practice consistency.  Deciding on a "library" of color to work from is something I've been working on recently.

A recent commission has me sourcing the perfect red.  I remember how long it took me to choose a cream.  I think I changed my mind a hundred times before deciding on what's pictured here.  That tomato-like red hanging out there in the mix looks to be the winner for now.
